ORCHIDS OF PERU
Stanhopea cf. peruviana
Sepals pale orangish to orange yellow; Petals
clear cream orange? Hypochile base orange,
pale brownish underside, saccate portion very
dark red, horns ivory to cream white;
Epichile white spotted brownish purple;
Column green, wings hyaline with brown spots
underlain with purple.
Fragrance: faint cineole and citrus peel,
sweet.
