rhizome creeping, occasionally branched, terete, pale or
yellowish green, entirely covered with iaterloins scales,
very tough and tightly attached, crooked; stipes also rigid,
somewhat compressed, ascending, yellowish green; fronds
descending and recurved, pale green especially beneath; the
segments flat» quite rigid or ohartaceous, narrower in
the sterile oftes; "locdo” in Manobo; Cahadharan, Oo-
