9835. Bavallia embolostegia Copel. Upon rotten
logs or more habitual upon deep moss covered basal portion
of large trees at 4000 feet; rootstocks crooked, quite pliable,
green but covered with brown scales, sparingly branohed,
very loosely attached to its support; stipes hard, terete,
green to brosnish, tough and yet rigid; about 1 foot to
1 sififra* long; fronds triangularly spreading, drooping, soft,
