upon small trees in damp forests of a steep slope at 2500
feet of mount Burebid; stem 1 inoh thick, terete, grayish
brown mottled, flexible, branched; branches forming a dense
tangl®d mfcss at the top, slender, drooping, freely rebranched,
terete, green, quite rigid; leaves subchartaceous, descend-
ing, fiat, dall green above, paler beneath; fruits terminal
or 1©*^ opposed, pendaloas, up 1 to B Inches long terete
green stalks; spike also terete, hard, quite smooth and
rigid* dark brick red; "Cabansal"; leaves used by the Bogobos
the same as the regular "Bayo" leaves in chewing their
