Terrestrial with leafy stem to ca.1,5
m high, sepals and petals translucent
purple-brown, lip orange-brown with
some yellow in front, the bottom of
the'slipper' violet, the folded-in
margin violet except at the base,r
column greenish with brown suffusion,
staminode arid anthers green, stigma
light green, flowers opening in
succession,the lip (and dorsal sepal)
taking a horizontal position, floral
buds hanging down
