TRUMAN G. YUNCKER HERBARIUM OF DEPAUW UNIVERSITY (DPU) PURCHASED BY NY IN 1987 Venezuela (Edo. Bolivar: Basin of Río Parguaza, about 6° Lat. Ji., 67° Long.W.) Croizat 5 ( 4th-8th March 1950) Piper taboganum C.DC. On a rocky knoll,in the shade of overhanging rocks in the dry savanna. This is the lone piperaceous plant met with in the trip ( Piperaceae are as a rule very rare between this region and the whole of Western Anzoátegui and Eastern Guárico ); a weedy shrub,height not exceeding 1.50 meters.
