Depto. Santa Cruz, Prov. Florida, Quebrada La Coca,
7 km. (by air) SW of Berraejo, ca. 0.5 km. S of main
highway from Santa Cruz to Samaipata. Semi-
deciduous forest on slopes.
18°09’15"S, 63°41’30"W. alt. 1130 m.
Shrub 1.5 m. tall. Spikes hanging. Very similar to
Piper longestylosum C. DC. of the humid lowland
northern part of Parque Amborö, but the plant
seems much larger and more branched, and spikes
hanging, not ± horizontal in the plane of the
leaves.
