GUYANA. Region: Cuyuni-Mazaruni. Pakaraima Mtns; toe slopes on
NW side of Mt Ayanganna. Elev: 1100-1200 m. 05°24'N 059°57'W.
Montane evergreen forest, canopy 30-40 m. Soils sandstone and laterite
derived.
Shrub, 2 m; leaves whitish green below; spike green, downtumed.
Large trees including Lecythidaceae, Fabaceae - rich in epiphytes,
lianas, fungi. Creek with sandstone talus, rich in herbs.
