Floodplain of Mississippi River, with crushed dolomite
gravel forming the roadway and boat landing, on the river
side of the railroad, in muddy floodplain with woods
dominated by Acer saccharinum and a few Populus
deltoides and Rubus caesius (!), Lysimachia ciliata; also
with open grassy and muddy areas with Asclepias
incarnata, Butomus umbellatus (!), Phyla lanceolata.
Shrubs, to 2.5 m. tall. Fruit green.
