Semi-prostrate in moss and lichen bed, in
protected overhang above stream. Spikes 2.5cm
long with black seeds. Leaves small, cordate.
ESTADO MERIDA: Distrito Rangel, Paramo
de Mucuchies; Ascending from Hotel Los
Frailes (3000 m) to the base of Picocha
El Gavilon (Pico El Aguila) (4000 m).
Dry season with small springs and streams
in quebradas.
