PLANTS UF VENEZUELA State of Merida No. 2260 Piperaceae Peperomia choroniana Parque Nacional Henri Pittier. Small mountain on left hand side of road, about 300 metres up road from Estacion Biologica-entrance through gate in fence. Collections up to 1 km up path from gate. Steep slopes, deep leaf litter. Trailing, succulent herb, in deep leaf litter, rooting at intervals on stem. Stems green covered in deep red markings. Leaves ca. 15 cm.- lamina - petioles with same marking as stem ca. 10 cm. Upper leaf surface ! conspicuously silvery, white in center. Lower leaf grey green with very fine hairs. Growing close to # 2259. Gail L.
