resort. Dry forest of Schinopsis haenkeana, Acacia aroma, in
bottom of valley.
18°09.53’S, 63°48.80’W. alt. 1370 m.
Forming colonies on dry roadside bank near entrance to
Achira Camping, where also cultivated as an ornamental,
seems to be a casual escape but probably well established.
Leaves very fleshy. Just beginning to bloom; inflorescences
erect; flowers pendant; calyx light yellow-green; petals light
orange.
