  • Description

    Pileus up to 6.5 cm broad, convex to plano-convex to plane, dry to moist and then hygrophanous, dark brown at first, becoming cinnamon brown (6C-D7-6), finally tan (6C5). Flesh white, unchanging, up 4 mm thick, with mild odor and taste. Lamellae adnexed, very crowded, white, unchanging, with fimbriate edges. Stipe up to 15 cm long, 3-8 mm broad, ±equal and with an expanded base, twisted striate in most, arising from white rhizomorphs, glabrous to finely striate-subpruinose in some, yellow above to yellow orange below; interior white, hollow. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
