FLORA OF Collector's No. 1356. Collected for the Arnold Arboretum by S. F. Kajewski. Botanical Name _Mallotus polyadenus_ F.M. Common Name Exact Locality Lake Barrine, Atherton Tableland. Habitat Rain forest. Altitude 500 metres Occurrence common. Habit A large tree up to 25 metres high. Leaves Dull dark green. Flower Buds only on specimens, covered with Fruit short golden hair. Special Notes As Mr. G. Ourry brought these in, having been knocked down from a taller tree, I am unable to give further details. Economic Uses. Det. _G.T.W._ Date. 9/11/29.
