leaning over and on (i.e., supported
by) other trees, ca. 8 m long,
overhanging river, with whorled
branching pattern; stems and leaves
with copious white latex;
inflorescence a "bottle-brush" raceme,

ca. 5 cm long; female flowers (2-)3 at
base of raceme, bracteate, pedicels
ca. 1 cm long, perianth yellowish
green, styles ca. 1 1/2 cm long with 3
coiled stigmas; the remainder of the
flowers on the inflorescence are male,
these are in groups of 2-3, each group
bracteate with a pair of basal green
glands, pedicels 1-1 1/2 cm long,
perianth yellowish green, anthers
