Upon the lover side of 60*11 ascending stems covered with Tines and roots in a very damp densely wooded ravine at 3500 feet, in very moist stony soil, about 5 feet from the ground; rhizome crooked, 1 inch across, rigid, sparingly branched, a foot to a yard long, with a profusion of roots along the under side; stipes spreading and desoending, strongly recurred at the base, greenish black, with faint pale green lateral stripes, doubly grooved along the upper side, flexible yet easily breaking with a snap; pinnae deseendingly curved, coriaceous, much duller green D NOTES in Manobo.
