Steep Yungas valley formerly covered in seasonally moist hill forest, now mostly replaced with orange/coffee plantations but with patches of forest, especially by streams. Apparently uncommon on moist shaded rocky slopes above road. Fern of moist earthy rocks with thick horizontal rhizome. Stipes daik blackish brown. Sori brown, central. J.R.L Wood & T.
