grassland on very gently sloping upland landscape underlain
by a mix of Perdiz Conglomerate (a fanglomerate of variable
composition) and Quaternary alluvium, along both sides of
main road leading N from main gate, ca. 1.0-1.1 airmiles N
to NNW of Presidio County Courthouse in Marfa, at
N30°19'40.9”, W104o0r35.3”. SE part of Mimms Ranch.
Marfa Quadrangle. Elev. 4760-4770 ft.
Woody associates included Condalia ericoides, tree-like Koeberlinia
spinosa, Yucca sp.; total woody cover less than 5 percent. Most herbaceous
plants unidentifiable due to extreme drought conditions.
