FORT BEND CO.: evidently taprooted annual, no deep
perennial root detected; occasional in regularly mown weedy
herbaceous vegetation on soils mapped as very deep,
moderately well drained, slightly alkaline clay (Pledger
Series, Typic Hapluderts), on access easement along E side
of Red Gully, S side of Old Richmond Road, at
N29°38’02.2”, W095°40’21.2”. Elev. 75 ft. NW comer of
Cullinan Park in Sugar Land.
Associates included Allium canadense var. canadense, Ambrosia trifida,
Anagallis arvensis, Centunculus minimus, Cerastium glomeratum,
Cynodon dactylon, Erigeron philadelphicus, Geranium carolinianum,
Lolium multiflorum, Medicago polymorpha, Melilotus indicus, Myosotis
macrosperma, Nothoscordum bivalve, Plantago (virginica), Poa annua,
Ranunculus fascicularis, Senecio tampicanus, Sherardia arvensis, Sonchus
(asper), Tori I is nodosa, Veronica peregrina, Vicia ludoviciana.
