Collector’s note. Portezuelo de la Cuesta de los Dolores
is at the crest of the Sierra de la Giganta just west of the
north end of Isla San Jose. The vegetation is comprised of
low-growing Caesalpinia pfacida, Prosopis Palmeri, Pithe-
cellobium confine, Jatropha cuneata, Fouquieria Diguetii^
Cardiospermum spinosum, Pachycereus Pringlei, Machaero-
cereus gummosus, Opuntia. Near the crest of the ridges
{alt. ca. 750 m.) are also Pachycormus discolor, Alvordia,
Encelia.
