prostrate to ascending annual in secondary
vegetation along the roadside; hard-packed white,
calcareous soil in scrub with Aristida, Cassia,
Crotalaria, Croton, Cynodon, Dahlia, Dalea,
Eragrostis, Loeselia, Parthenium, Sanvitalia,
Verbena.
