Habitat
On open, rocky northwest-facing slopes. In snowberry-sagebrush-per. forb association. Locally abundant. Gray-black loamy sand, pH ca. 6.7.

Description
Corollas blue, or blue- to red-violet, abaxial throat with 2 weak ridges within; staminode hairs pale yellow; anthers white, abaxial pair ± exserted at mouth. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
