Prostrate mat-forming herb, some appearing perennial, others obviously in their first season, common in gravelly wash; overgrazed secondary scrub of numerous stoloniferous grasses intermixed among low-stature shrubs with Baccharis, Bidens, Bouteloua, Buddleja, Chloris, Cosmos, Dyssodia, Eryngium, Euphorbia, Gomprena, Hilaria, Marrubium, Muhlenbergia, Penstemon, Salvia, Setaria, Stevia, and Tagetes.
