Uncommon perennial herb, some plants appearing
to be in their first season; rocky hillside in
desertscrub with Ambrosia deltoidea, Coursettia
glandulosa, Encelia farinosa, Ferocactus wislizenii,
Fouquieria splendens, Jariusia gracilis, Opuntia
spp., Simmondsia chinensis.
