»tern leveraging 3 inehes thick; frond» horisontal or droop-
ing , 4 to 6 root long; short stipe with ereot and thickened
bases which ore provided with brown scales, spinulose along
the lower brown side, flattish along the upper grson side,
1/2 inch thick; rachis similar; pinnae horisontal and
divaricate, extending clear to the base and much reduced;
pinnules dull green above, submembranous, lighter green
beneath; sori brown, this grows exaetly with number
1145$ but is proportionately smaller and fine% in texture
the under side of the pinnules is tiaj&y paler green than
the upper one, not yellowish gu« u in 1168 whose nerve«
