Tree about 7-8 m. tall; wood red and hard to
cut; bark white or light grey; branchlets light
grey, brownish only near tip; leaves dark green
above, rufous green beneath but without pubes-
cence; no flowers; fruit green'.
In the bahial along the trail leading north
from the north end of ¿>anta Maria de Nanay.
