A rhizothamnus fern with thin rhiz-
omes covered densely with small black
scales, stipes green ripening to
brown with a few brown scales at
the base, frond leathery dark green
and glossy above paler below with
two rows linear-oblong brown sori,
frond oblong-lanceolate. Very
common on trees and rocks with
Asplenium spp.-PIeopeltis-Drymaria-
Polystachum and moss. This in
Nuxia congesta-Olea hochstetteri-CaeSf
-.aeria-Bersama abyssinica-O. afric-
ana-Teclea simplicifolia-Fagaropsis
angolensis forest.
