Distribution
Sphaeralcea coccinea (Nuttall) Rydberg X S. pan/i flora A. Nelson 0.9 miles 40 degrees from Lapoint, N 40°24'47.6" W 109°47'00.9" at 5680 ft, Wyoming big sagebrush site that has been dozed clear of shrubs and now dominated by cheatgrass Growing with plants of collections 27842 and 27844, and with features of both S. cocci nea and S. parviflora and thus with the appearance of S. grossulariifolia. This collectipn suggests the few reports of S. grossulariifolia for the Uinta Basin are likely based on crosses of the 2 common species of the Basin. S.
