Former dry forest, now fields, pastures on slope, scrubby, with Baccharis dracunculifolia, Dodonaea viscosa, Mauria thaumatophylla, Terminalia triflora, Myroxylon balsamum, Myracrudruon urundewa. 18°08’S, 63°49’W. alt. 1500 m. Small tree with umbrella crown, 6 m. tall. Inflorescences erect, all with some to many fully opened male flowers, these light yellow, nearly odorless, visited by honeybees (8:30 A.M., heavy overcast). Coll.: M.
