Ca. 20 km. south of Rio Manuripi on the road to
Chive. 11°58'S, 68°35'W. Wet swampy forest along a
small black water stream, with many palms, lianas
and climbers.
Terrestrial fern. Fronds 1.5m long from a short
rhizome which is erect at tip. Fertile fronds more
brittle and held more erect than sterile.
