Four shrubs at this spot, stems solitary or up to 10 from the base, 2--3 m tall,
1.1—2.0 cm DBH.
Severely disturbed tropical deciduous forest, on somewhat open, S-facing
slopes of old volcanic hills (all basalt) overlooking Laguna de Chapala.
Vegetation at this elevation includes: Ficus, Psidium, Prunus ferruginea,
Heliocarpus terebinthinaceus, Hybanthus attenuatus, Ipomdea intrapilosa,
Solanum refractum, Bouvardia multiflora, Montanoa.
