Herb 20 cm ht. Leaf blades obovate-
spathulate, 15 cm long, gradually tapering
into a petiole 6-10 cm long. Raceme 13-
15 cm, the rachis purple. Pedicels purple,
9-10 mm long. Perianth coriaceous, pale
yellowish, 6 mm long. Each flower usually
subtended by 2 unequal bracts, the larger
4-12 mm long, the smaller 1-5 mm long.
