Ritter (NHA), 1998 Flora of Bolivia Family: Asteraceae Vemonia Department of Santa Cruz Province of Angel Sandoval Laguna Uberaba, on the Bolivian-Brazilian border. Elevation approximately 85 m. Approximate center of the collecting area: 17°33'51"S. 57°46'42"W. Shrub, ca. 2.5 m tall. Only one individual noted. Flowers white, pleasantly aromatic. Leave schlerophyllous. Habitat: highly sedimented section of floating and "anchored" mat of vegetation. Small trees (Tabebuia sp. and Euphorbiaceae indet.) and numerous shrubs and herbs present. 7/11/98 #4474 Collected by: N. Ritter, G. E. Crow , M. Garvizu and C. Crow.
