S facing 10-30° slope.
Deciduous broadleaf forest. Disturbed by felling.
Originally with tall Tsuga but now all cut and
regenerating, mixed with Lithorcarpus and
Cyclobalahopsis.
Perennial herb. Flowers white. Common.
Growing under forest along trail.
In humus on decomposed granite.
