    spore length: 6.0 - 5.0 microns; spore width: 5.0 - 4.5 microns; spore shape: Globose; spore texture: Very filely roughened.; spore color: Clear; spore print color: Brown. Close examination by Dr. Methven (see annotation above) combined with the 2015 DNA analysis confirmed that this specimen is Crepidotus appalachianensis. See Dr. Andrew Methven's attached notes. 1) Clamp connections present. 2) Basidiospores globose to subglobose (punctate); subglobose sphaerula. 3) Fruiting body sessile or with a pseudostipe; section Sphaerula. 4) Pileus white to pale grey-tan, bearing brown fibrils; subsection Fulvifibrillosi. 5) Pleurocystidia present.
