Description
spore length: 7.5 - 6.0 microns; spore width: 5.0 - 4.5 microns; spore shape: elliptical; spore texture: smooth with and apical pore; spore color: light brownish; spore print color: brown. What seperated this Pholiota limonella from Pholiota aurivella was the spore size. After close examination by Dr. Methven in 2015 (see annotation above) combined with the 2015 DNA analysis, confirmed that this specimen is Pholiota limonella.
