spore length: 20 20.5 microns; spore width: 12 - 13.5 microns; spore shape: oblong with one oil drop; spore texture: smooth; spore color: hyaline; spore print color: n/d. Close examination by Dr. Methven (see annotation above) combined with the 2015 DNA analysis confirmed that this specimen is Helvella leucomelaena.
