Description
spore length: 7.5 - 9 microns; spore width: 6.3 - 7.8 microns; spore shape: broadly elliptical with one large oil drop; spore texture: ornamented; spore color: clear; spore print color: white to cream. This is the specimen we took that was being parasitized by the Hypomyces lactiflorum (see the ''Bi-Lateral Photo'' of voucher #38 - Lobster). Close examination by Dr. Methven (see annotation above) combined with the 2015 DNA analysis confirmed that this specimen is Russula brevipes.
