  • Description

    spore length: 29 microns; spore width: 9 microns; spore shape: elliptical - spindle shaped with apiculi; spore texture: slightly reticulated or lightly wrinkled; spore color: clear; spore print color: white. The spore can have apiculi at one or both ends with one large central oil globule and one small oil globule on either or both sides of the large globule. Close examination by Dr. Methven (see annotation above) combined with the 2015 DNA analysis confirmed that this specimen is Gyromitra korfii.
