Description
spore length: 6 microns; spore width: 3.5 microns; spore shape: elliptical; spore texture: smooth; spore color: clear; spore print color: pinkish cream or buff. The cap color, spore size and the anise scent are easy trademarks in identifying this species. Close examination by Dr. Methven (see annotation above) combined with the 2015 DNA analysis confirmed that this specimen is Clitocybe odora.
