    spore length: 8.5 - 9 microns; spore width: 8.5 - 9 microns; spore shape: round; spore texture: ornamented; spore color: clear; spore print color: white. Smells fishy. Close examination by Dr. Methven (see annotation above) combined with the 2015 DNA analysis confirmed that this specimen is Lactarius volemus that is probably a species complex.
