    spore length: 8 - 9 microns; spore width: 5 - 5.5 microns; spore shape: oblong to elliptical; spore texture: smooth; spore color: clear; spore print color: pinkish cream. Close examination by Dr. Methven (see annotation above) combined with the 2015 DNA analysis confirmed that this specimen is Cantharellus cinnabarinus.
