Description
spore length: 3.5 - 4 microns; spore width: 3.5 - 4 microns; spore shape: round; spore texture: smooth; spore color: brown; spore print color: deep olive brown. Growing in a dense mass on wood mulch. Close examination by Dr. Methven (see annotation above) combined with the 2015 DNA analysis confirmed that this specimen is Lycoperdon pyriforme.
