Description
spore length: 6 - 8 microns; spore width: 4 - 5.5 microns; spore shape: elliptical with one central oil drop; spore texture: smooth; spore color: clear; spore print color: white. Originally thought to be Pleurotus ostreatus, however close examination by Dr. Methven (see annotation above) combined with the 2015 DNA analysis confirmed that this specimen is Hohenbuehelia petaloides.
