inactive quarry. North side of Illinois River above
floodplain. Elev. ca. 540 ft. Dolomite bedrock near
surface, with calcareous clay, gravel, rock.
Disturbed weedy area adjoining oak-hickory dry-mesic
upland forest, with Setaria, Chenopodium, Amaranthus.
Buds pale lilac, stems repent, occasional herb in land fill
area, with Alcea rosea.
