A small (ca. 5 ha.) pond north of the Río Madre de
Dios. Elevation ca. 160 meters. Approximate center
of the collecting area: 10°54'13"S. 66°07'36"W.
Aquatic grass with inflated, floating
culms. Abundant. Habitat: a
shallow pond, with floating mats of
Paspalum repens and Panicum sp.
around the edges, and numerous
individuals of Victoria amazónica in
the center of the system.
