Notes: Found in mixed woods (eastern white pine,
oak, beech). Pale grey/tan cap with scattered darker
warts across the central portion. Margin slightly
appendiculate, not striate. Gills off-white, attached,
with many short gills. Stipe white, without annulus.
bulbing slightly with multiple rows of small recurved
scales, followed by a root-like taper at the extreme
base (slightly damaged in removal from soil.)
