Habitat : Araucaria - hardwood forest.
Altitude 2,500 feet.
Annot. Small tree, height 20 feet,
bole 6 feet, d.b.h. 3 inches. Bark:
outer bark grey, with ragged vertical
fissures; young bark lenticular; inner
bark wine-red. Wood white, tending to
become dark red. No sap (heartwood
only). Leaves light brown below.
Flower buds green.
