Sichuan Province, Yanyuan Xian: Vicinity of Jiala-cun above the
town of Guabie (Wodi-xiang on Chinese maps). 27°54'44"N,
101°34'11"E; 2410-2520 m. Dry, open, mostly Pinus forest, but also
with scattered trees of Keteleeria, Tsuga and Juniperus and understory
of various shrubs of Ericaceae (Rhododendron, Lyonia, Vaccinium),
Myrsine africana, Viburnum and with Hypericum and Berberis in
more open place. Banks of ravine in dry, rocky soil and in moss of
vertical rock faces. Colonial by rooting at tip of fronds. DNA material
available.
