Very flat, clay soil, mostly fields of rice, with brushy
strips between with remnants of former evergreen
forest.
Shrub 3 m. tall. The majority of the twigs produce
only yellow-green male spikes, some with a terminal
female, this erect or nearly so at all stages, green or
yellow-green.
